I interned at Defensoria Pública do Estado do Rio de Janeiro from January to December 2016, joining through an academic internship program and direct application. It was my first real exposure to software development at scale.

The internship ran structured lessons alongside the project work — object-oriented programming, divide-and-conquer, team behavior, and how to give and receive code reviews. Looking back, this is where my passion for development really started.
